MLD is used to assist clients with lymphedema, diabetes, Parkinsons Disease and Alzheimers, among other uses. Our lymph system is the janitor for our bodies, and about 90% of our immune system. It moves slowly on its own, and sometimes gets blocked or compromised, especially when there have been lymph nodes removed. MLD increases the system's movement by 10x, and the effects of a MLD massage last for 24 to 48 hours. Pain of rheumatoid arthritis and other chronic and inflammatory disorders are lessened.
